The spray tower can be divided into three forms: forward flow, reverse flow and cross flow.

1. The common method is counter current spray: acid mist waste gas in the form of acid or alkali is introduced into the purification tower through the air duct, and then passes through the packing layer. The waste gas is sent from the bottom of the tower, and then is distributed by the gas distribution device and continuously passes through the gap of the packing layer in the form of counter current with the sodium hydroxide absorption liquid.

2. on the surface of the packing, the gas-liquid two-phase fully contacts, absorbs and neutralizes to absorb the acidic or alkaline dirt contained in the waste gas. After purification, the acid mist waste gas is dewatered and demisted by the demister, and then the clean gas is discharged into the atmosphere from the fan. The absorption liquid is sprayed at the tower top after being pressurized by the water pump at the tower bottom, and then returned to the tower bottom for recycling.
